The 5-Fold Armor-Bearer Ministry, Inc. is a ministry that serves ministers in a
servant, dignitary capacity - inspired by David (1 Samuel 16:18). The
difference between the traditional "bodyguard/executive protector" and the
5-fold armor-bearer is spiritual maturity. The 5-fold armor-bearer
acknowledges that he/she is a man/women of God first, with the gifts and
talents to serve and protect the ministers obtaining this service.
Unfortunately there are many people skilled to serve and protect, but with
the lack of spiritual maturity the individuals zealousness, to protect and
serve, can become more liable to the minister or ministry than desired or
intended.
David, who became Saul's armor-bearer was originally considered because
of his ability to worship (as a harp player). Though David was ultimately
chosen because of his additional talents, what originally drew the attention
of the King was David's ability to worship (credited as spiritual maturity). As
a worshipper David had the ability to ascend praises unto the Lord, which in
turn caused a descending peace on Saul, the King.
One of the greatest factors when considering spiritual maturity is
understanding purpose. Our purpose, according to 1 John: 3:8, is the
destruction of the devils works, period! This is accomplished by dealing
"patiently and kindly" with the people we encounter in scope of our service
(1 Corinthians 13:4). Furthermore, this approach produces repentance,
which can be synonymous to submission according to Romans 2:4.
Ultimately, this is God's desire - a repentant people, a people after His own
heart.
When spiritual maturity lacks in this capacity and zealousness takes
precedence of an action, contention will occur with the people we
encounter thus making us no different then the bodyguards that serve
celebrities, politicians, and/or dignitaries around the world.

Inapplicability of this (FS 493) Chapter (01)
Any individual who is an "officer" as defined
in s.943.10 (14) or is a law enforcement
officer of the United States Government,
while such local, state, or federal officer is
engaged in her or his official duties or when
performing off-duty security activities
approved by her or his superiors.
Meaning: as long as the "officer" is officially
authorized by their agency superiors to
perform said services, can they work or
volunteer in the church.
